Go for it
by: Ben

I can totally relate with what you said, I can't see myself working for others too, in the sense that I would like full flexibility of my job. Glad to hear that you're so motivated, wish you all the best in pursuing your dreams

All the Best!
by: Justin Choo

Why make the guy who orders you around $1 richer when he only gives you $0.10 (if you are lucky). Earn that $1 for yourself and keep the entire pie. You will definitely be richer and happier in life. All the best!

I share the exact sentiments :) Have a dream, and work like hell to achieve it!

Lets make our business work, and if it doesn't, we'll just have to let the other businesses work then!

Though a perfect fit person is difficult to find, you can seek for people with similar goals to grow together and become the complete perfect fit. I hope you find your companions along the way of entrepreneurship and best of luck.

All the best for your entrepreneurship endeavour...
by: Anonymous

Hi Choon Kit,

You have indeed shared great testimonials about pursing one's dreams. Thanks!

Maybe I would like to share something else here regarding what you say about working for someone else:

I agree with you that the idea of working for someone or for a company consists of many restrictions that makes it hard for one to really grow and soar in one's ideals. However, I believed that the lessons learnt when you work for another would definitely be benefical to your future management of your business.

Furthermore, I believe that as an entrepreneur, though there is freedom to decide the course of action and position for the company, ultimately, the entrepreneur is still restricted, in a sense that he carries the responsiblity of working for the interests of his fellow partners and employees. As such, I believe as the business grows larger, I feel that it's inevitable that even more restrictions will arise given that you'll need to manage the even more interests. ie. more stakeholders.

I think the key lesson or question for you is this: if you are to feel the way you feel when you are working for someone else right now, know that this is going be the same feeling for your future employee who is working for you. How are you going to manage it?

With that, all the best for your entrepreneuship endeavour!

prepare a good ground work.
by: Jane Tan

hey Choon Kit,

It's always enlightening to hear successful entrep stories and even so from our peers who made it in the market. :)

I guess you have grasp the important tool which is doing a thorough market research. I agree that we need to equip ourselves with the knowledge of the subject we want to venture in and keep ourselves abreast of the latest updates and news of that matter. With a good preparation, we have built a good base and can start building the business.

I wish you success and continue to believe in your dreams.

God bless!

Working for yourself
by: Yvonne

I know what you mean. Working for someone and working for yourself is so different. I remember dragging myself up every morning for my internship as well.

I guess part of the reason is that we're naturally bored of routine work, and would be much more motivated if we could see something that we worked hard for come to fruit in our own start-up. :)

Jia you for all your future biz!
