4.3 for you too NEW
by: Richard

I really liked your group's presentation and also I can imagine that coming up with a totally new business idea is difficult and tiring.

And maybe in 10 years, you might be opening your own 4.3. ;)

Hey Lifa,

Thanks for sharing your thoughts, especially on the part on "lip-service"! Think Singapore, especially starting from our generation, we are starting to debunk the stereotype that Singaporeans are not a creative and daring bunch.

All the best for plans and life in general after graduation :)

Identifying NEW
by: Ken Chang Yuan Shao

I totally identify with how you feel about difficulty in coming up with entrepreneurial ideas. But just looking at the quality of ideas that came up during class and past guest speakers, and I am pretty impressed. It seems creativity and the entrepreneurial spark is not lacking in Singaporeans after all.

Hi Siti,

Like you, I thought that an entrepreneurial idea has to be novel and I too struggled to come up with ideas during the discussion. I'm glad we pulled through and I see that your group has came up with a good business idea? All the best in materializing it!

From XU ZHAOXI NEW
by: XU ZHAOXI

Yes I totally agree that Ethics is a lesson all the entrepreneurship should take. Entrepreneurship is not only about making money, but meet the needs of people and build up a better society as well. The last lecture about ethics also left a deep impression on me.

If you have a good business plan, go for it! our ability to take risks will go down as we age and 10 years down the road might be too long a time frame. All the best whichever path you eventually decide to take!

More than just creativity NEW
by: Valerie

I absolutely agree with you, that innovative ideas alone does not make one an entrepreneur. EBC has taught me that there is so much more to a business than just making sure that it is creative/innovative. steps like sourcing for fund, investors, ensuring all aspects of operations are smooth flowing as well as adhering to legal aspects of the business are areas that i've never paid much attention too in the past when i thought of business ideas. now, i really see the importance of those!

Hi Siti NEW
by: Chua Zihao

I agree with you that an entrepreneur needs to ensure that the ideas materialized in reality and it is executed through the creation of a business that would value add to the society.

Many times we see businesses that are opportunistic and their respective owners lack vision and foresight to make them sustainable in the long run.

I believe in starting a business that your passion truly belongs to. Only then would you put in your heart and soul into doing it. I believe with sufficient effort, success is always on the horizon.

All the best to your future endeavors :)

Your passion inspires us all NEW
by: Lee Yi Xin

Despite the short 15min presentation, I could feel your passion for 4.3 and F&B business as a whole. If I were a VC, my money is yours. I guess you really personified the theory of 'when we invest in enterprises, we invest in the entrepreneurs behind it' It is the passion and the drive of the founders that will determine how high the enterprise will fly be it a startup or even a large corporations.

I'm really happy you and your team shared your idea with us. I wish you all the best and I will be looking forward to visiting your 4.3 restaurants in NYC, Tokyo and London in future. When that time comes, please have SMU Alumni discount ready for us all :)

Hi! NEW
by: Wilson Tham

Hi Siti! Great and inspiring article! My opinions about 'lip service' may differ slightly. I think it's good to hear and provide constructive criticisms to others. That is where we can learn about how to improve on our business ideas or contribute to the success of others. However, if the criticisms are petty, we can always choose to filter those out. :]

Good luck on your business venture! I will surely support 4point3 when it opens!
