Risk-taker NEW
by: Stanley Tan

Hi Chuan Jian

Got to agree with you on the Singapore education part! Haha. And through EBC, I think we really learnt to take risk and accept failure.

Daring to dream NEW
by: Randy Teo

Thank you for sharing your journey and your thoughts. I love your idea on dream big and being different. Personally, I feel that the education system in Singapore has placed us through a funnel for too long a time. As such, we have become very afraid of breaking out of the shell and being different from the others. We seem to be more fixated on doing what others do, but better. The system is indeed good at churning out rats to run the rat race.

Thus, I would like to say jiayou and keep dreaming big! Aim for the stars (because even if you fail, you still land on the moon :p)

P.S. Your example about financial statements and you being an accountancy student really showed me how we can end up learning very little if we don't challenge ourselves on a daily basis. Thanks :)

Great! [Having fun while learning!] This is what I have achieved in EBC. Somehow this journey has been a special one because you meet new friends who aspire to be entrepreneurs.

Great time effort NEW
by: Pearlicia

I am very lucky to have a team mate like you CJ! I guess for me, I took this class not knowing what exactly to expect as well. Well I am definitely glad to have learnt so much from this class, especially from a very experienced and inspiring female entrepreneur cum lecturer, Prof Pamela herself.

Fun! NEW
by: Cry

Totally agree that the classes were all manner of fun! Got to learn many things in class, and each lesson had a highly different structure, unlike standard lectures that happen in some modules.. EBC by Prof Pamela was truly a unique mod offered. :D

Thumbs up! NEW
by: Pamela Lim

CJ, reading your journal puts a smile across my face, because I hardly hear from you in class! I am glad you have found new friendship, and happier you have now a new avenue of livelihood and not just working. Even happier you did financials from scratch! A challenge wasn't it? And something I wonder why you did not have to do... (you are not the first finance/accounts major who tells me that)

Thank you so much for the feedback.
