Thanks for sharing your elaborated thoughts :)
It was really nice of you to categorised your take aways neatly and organized in one section.
I especially agree with your point about how it is important to follow our passion and dreams in order to succeed in starting a business. I believe it keeps my drive going and it is satisfying to know that there is an end goal to work towards :)

Inspiring NEW
by: Jacqueline Quek

Hi Julian

Thank you so much for the quote, it's very inspiring indeed.

You have totally nail it for your biggest takeaways and these are truly what an entrepreneur should never forget through their course of their business.

Lastly, like you say "Learning is never an ending process!", I would like to quote Steve Jobs, "Stay hungry, stay foolish". Always seek new opportunities and ways to innovate and improve your business (:

Exciting and fun breakouts! NEW
by: Zi Rong

i couldnt agree more to your comments on fun and relevant practical tasks for breakouts. Learning from breakout always excite me as its never boring and we get to interact with people who are already in business.

Personally, I feel that passion and sincerity in your biggest takeaway are the most important 2 factors. Other so play an important role too!

I love picnics! NEW
by: Randy Teo

I personally love picnics and I know i'm not the only one out there. There's definitely a demand for your group's business idea. Got to watch out for potential competitors as barriers of entry can be quite low in this industry. If your group decides to make it work, let me know. I want to be your customer. :)

Also, thank you for your sharing of your EBC journey. Sincerity and humility are two major qualities that appear to be lacking in the business world today. Hopefully all of us can do something to change that in our own ways.

All the best for your future endeavours!

sincerity NEW
by: Ke Hui

sincerity. i couldn't agree more with your last learning point. despite the huge amounts of profits that many businesses out there are making, many of them lack sincerity. i truly believe that if you, as the business owner, are sincere in serving your target market, it will filter through your entire organisation and customers would definitely make repeat purchases simply because of the sincerity that you serve them.

its true NEW
by: Lionel Chia

Hi Julian,

Agreed with what you said about sincerity. I think what you said is especially true. Most people going to networking sessions just to build contacts, rather than to meet interesting people, which is a waste in my opinion. Hope to work with you in the business world next time!

Risks NEW
by: Crys

I'm much like you, in that I have this intense fear of taking risks, of making mistakes, of failing. I blame the education system (for drilling into me that we only have one chance, and we have to make it.) and myself (for buying it.)

Nonetheless, it's interesting how I'm starting to see things change as I start making mistakes, and see how much faster I learn simply because I fail.

:D

Learning! NEW
by: Fey Tui Yeong Axel

Hi Gary, I like one of your takeaway over here - constant learning and risk-taking. I feel this is a key attribute of an entrepreneur but even someday you decide not to pursue this path, don't ever stop learning!

:D NEW
by: Stella Ng

Hey Gary! :)

I'm really glad to have the opportunity to work with you on this project! Whether you are going to work for someone else or start your own business, I trust that you will do great!

I particularly like the quote u left at the end of the post! “To be successful, you have to have your heart in your business, and your business in your heart.” Indeed, I think as an entrepreneur, one will have to "live and breathe" their business. It's like the business is your "child" and you can never ever keep it aside.
